Forum Rules and Policies

Postby streaker » Tue Apr 12, 2005 4:34 pm

Due to recent unfortunate incidents in the room and forum, mmwc has decided to create and implement a set of policies pertaining to forum activites and membership acceptance. These will be a set of dynamic rules and policies that will be set and edited as deemed appropriate to current events. Please note that these rules and policies apply to all MMWC members and aspiring members of the MMWC forum.

1. MMWC membership is NOT transferrable. ANY MEMBER ALLOWING OUTSIDERS/NON-FORUM MEMBERS TO USE THEIR MMWC FORUM ACCOUNT TO BROWSE THROUGH THIS FORUM WILL BE DELETED FROM THE ROSTER IMMEDIATELY.

2. MMWC has the right to remove any message it deems objectionable or that is not in MMWC's best interest.

3. "Count to 10" and post kindly. Messages should always maintain a respectful, civil tone towards one another. Name-calling and abuse is not allowed.

4. Post on topic. No one is PROHIBITED from creating new topics or threads.

5. Impersonating a staff member or message board monitor is expressly prohibited and will be dealt with appropriately.

6. No "spamming." "Spamming" is the term used to describe posting the same message or substantially the same message in several places at the same time. If you're not sure where to post , pick a topic that closely matches your subject and post your message. If you don't get an answer or any interest the first time you post, wait a couple of days, then post your message in a different topic.

7. No vulgarity or obscenity aimed at any member. This includes "masked" vulgarity where you substitute symbols for letters (such as $ for S); however, if the word you intended to use is still obvious to all, it is a violation. Sometimes it's hard to determine which words are considered "vulgar." If you wouldn't say it to your grandmother or in a job interview, don't say it here.

At all times, follow MMWC Terms and Conditions and the Rules of Conduct.

Forum activities are now closely monitored. Repeated violations of any of the above policies can and will lead to the offending party being stripped of member priveleges on the message boards.
